What would you like to be?
A few spare brain cells, transplanted into a mouse, seem to be working... perhaps, nay definitely, in future one will be able to occupy whatever body one wishes.
Perhaps one could even be in two bodies at once, that would be spooky.
You could be male and female, and then....
What would you choose? Probably not actually a mouse.
I quite fancy being an octopus.

A walrus.
Lazing around in the sun most days, combined with some international travel, with a big group of admirers wherever I go.
Also being so big, they have few predators nowadays.

From my observations Wood Pigeons have no problems getting food, so they can spend all their free time chasing/having sex.

Yeah. I wish I hadn't split up with my archaeologist girlfriend while we were far too young for her to appreciate me.servodude wrote: Older!

Google fails to find any reference that might motivate that question, so I guess it must be a reference to someone you know/knew.

Yes, google finds references to an archaeological site. But not to anyone noted for the comment about an archaeologist's partner improving with age.doolally wrote:THis? https://gardoms-edge.group.shef.ac.uk/UncleEbenezer wrote: I never even heard of Gardom's Edge until just now.

"When given a ring, a shepherd named Gyges becomes invisible and anonymous. Through his invisibility he seduces a queen, kills her king, and takes over the kingdom. Plato argues that the Ring of Gyges- invisibility and anonymity- is the only barrier between a just and an unjust person. Plato was arguing for what we call transparency today. Gyges' invisibility is a metaphor for power without openness and accountability.mc2fool wrote:"When given a ring, a shepherd named Gyges becomes invisible and anonymous. In more recent times it's become the purest and most absolute evil. Look at Wagner's and Tolkien's ring of power. The latter was a god-botherer, and his was a classical Christian view of absolute evil.

Many moons ago living in Sheffield I had an archaeologist-ex-girlfriend that worked there with my other archaeologist-ex-girlfriend (or pre-historian that one properly).
Neither was an ex at the time and I didn't realise they knowingly had me in common.
I thought that might have been how things went on in Englandshire?
