Does anyone have a template form of wording to use to cancel an existing Resolution of Directors which Resolved to pay an interim dividend next month?
Closely held so nothing too exact is required.

According to the HMRC manual a simple resolution to vary or rescind the interim dividend resolution is all that is needed

Thank you again.scrumpyjack wrote:According to the HMRC manual a simple resolution to vary or rescind the interim dividend resolution is all that is needed ...
Would you or anyone else consider the following wording would be sufficient?:
IT WAS RESOLVED that the interim dividend for the year ended XX XXXX 2020, at the rate of £XXX.00 per ordinary share, which was to have been paid on XX April 2020 to the members registered on XX January 2020 is hereby rescinded.
This being a proposed Resolution of Directors to be date and signed by all directors before the date the interim dividend was to have been paid.
I suppose an alternative might be to tear up the existing Resolution of Directors but that is not in my nature!
