Coronavirus - A Resource. Suggestions for additions here

Post by redsturgeon »

If you wish to add any useful resource to the " Coronavirus - A Resource" Global Announcement/sticky post please do so here.
We will look at all suggestions and put on the main thread if suitable.

ONLY SUGGESTIONs FOR ADDITIONS TO THE RESOURCES POST HERE PLEASE

I have had some suggestions which are very interesting and from reputable scientific sources but I think they may be too involved for the purposes of the main resource post. I will move those posts to the other coronvirus thread on this board.

Thank you

Merely for those who haven't located the helpful resource itself (that would depend on how one accesses TLF and/or knows where to look) it is here:

Coronavirus - A Resource
https://www.lemonfool.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=86&t=22293

Perhaps that Announcements post could be linked to this one.

A minor point if I may, I'd amend for up to date in a couple of places to updated daily.

Not being fluent in French, is there an English language version of https://www.lemonde.fr/societe/article/ ... _3224.html available?

Moderator Message:
I'm moving the last three posts to the other coronavirus thread on this board. I am trying to keep the main resource thread fairly clear and straightforward rather than drilling down into too much detail that while interesting for some may cloud the issue for others.

I've posted this elsewhere but it may, potentially, be useful for the Resource thread:

The Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (England) Regulations 2020
http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2020/350/made
Coming into force at 1.00 p.m. on 26th March 2020

England only?

Not exactly a Resource but may be worthwhile adding:

Tell the NHS about your current experience of coronavirus
https://www.nhs.uk/coronavirus-status-checker

PD

(I amended my DoB by a few days and gave a nearby postcode)

Another suggestion, at the foot of https://www.lemonfool.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=86&t=22293 is a list of where the main discussions are being held.

To which could be added:

CV - Science : modelling aspects only please https://www.lemonfool.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=83&t=22737

Might I also suggest that the Resource, which is rightly Locked, links back to this Topic?

On a slightly macabre note, here's a way to see how you / loved ones/unloved ones rate , in the stakes for ICU treatment....

This is the actual "support tool" circulated to doctors. If you get over 8 points you are likely to be treated in a ward and not an ICU https://t.co/LWZbVJm4BK" / Twitter

I'd like to suggest links to follow on articles from this original
ADDED 21/3/2020 A MUST READ FOR EVERYONE
A detailed look at implications of plans going forward for US and UK
https://medium.com/@tomaspueyo/coronavi ... 9337092b56
These 3 are (IMV) equally well argued and make telling observations on use of masks, levels of testing and general preparedness for moving on to Test,Trace,Isolate (TTI) phase.
https://medium.com/@tomaspueyo/coronavi ... 420170203e

https://medium.com/@tomaspueyo/coronavi ... d216daa343

https://medium.com/@tomaspueyo/coronavi ... e85b64072e

Worth a read before then hearing what is said on UK strategy this evening.

Thanks, I hadn't seen these, now a little out of date but useful to read still with hindsight.

That link is to the first page of a blog, so will soon disappear onto the second or following page. To be useful as a resource it needs more staying power.

Yes if you look at the resource I have added the actual links to the government sites.

I've taken the links from the Guardian - see below.
NB. These are all published 11th and 12th May, so may soon be updated.

"Here are the key documents:
The 60-page overall plan, entitled “Our plan to rebuild” (pdf).
https://assets.publishing.service.gov.u ... EB__1_.pdf
The coronavirus outbreak FAQs - A useful Q&A covering all main topics, and mostly focusing on what is changing this week.
https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... nd-cant-do
Specific guidance on social distancing.
https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... distancing
Specific guidance on staying safe outside the home.
https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... -your-home
On education specifically, there are at least four documents. They are:
A general guide for parents and carers.
https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... and-carers
Specific information about the plan for some pupils to return to school from 1 June.
https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... rom-1-june
Advice for schools on what they need to do.
https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... -june-2020
Specific advice on protective measures.
https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... e-settings
The Department for Business, Energy and Industry Strategy has produced eight separate guides on how to keep employees safe in different workplace environment. You can find links to all eight here.
https://www.gov.uk/guidance/working-saf ... s-covid-19
And now, this morning, the Department for Transport has produced transport guidance. There are two main documents:
Guidance for passengers.
https://www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus ... passengers
Guidance for operators.
https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... -operators "

No, it was a perma-link. To obtain one, right click the time indicated as the time of the blog posting and then use Copy Link Location. Try the link above, you'll see it goes straight to the post, now on page 10 of 11.
