Snoring

Post by myayield »

Hi
Can anyone suggest a solution for snoring - which works. I'm a loud snorer and need to sort this out.

My snoring correlates with my consumption of Ethanol.

Might be worth having a word with the doc (seriously!)

Does anyone know why the noise of snoring does not seem to wake up the person snoring but can wake up a partner?

There's been a great deal of investigation into this phenomenon, and having studied this area in quite some detail myself, I think the scientific term is 'Spite'...

May I reinforce Aleisters wise advice please.

I am diagnosed with severe obstructive sleep apnea. My "condition" is congenital. I do not snore and (until recently) I have never been overweight. Indeed quite the opposite. If you suffer with day time fatigue you may have sleep apnea.

If I may suggest you find two minutes to complete this form. (Don't worry that's it an American form. The NHS use the same form. It's the first I found when I "googled" it.)

If you score over ten you need to see your GP.

And please if you don't want to discuss this on open boards contact me through PM if I can be of any help.
