Thought I'd something more to say

The same year that Jim Steinman started to write Bat OUr Of Hell, although it is was not released until Oct 1977, a whole week before "Never Mind The [expletive deleted]".

It is scary how many albums are that old, Alladin Sane, Queen's first Album, Band On The Run, Goodbye Yellow Brick Rd, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, Brain Salad Surgery, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Billion Dollar Babies, Tres Hombres, Tubular Bells. And thoe are just the ones on the shelf in the corner here.

It's like going to the moon....a big achievement last century but not much of note since.....just like music.

30 years this month since.. Suede "Suede", Stings "Ten Summoners Tales" and Depeche Modes "Songs of love and devotion"
20 years since Johnny Cash covered Hurt and MWard released "the Transfiguration of Vincent" (I was at the anniversary gig recently) and the Flaming Lips released Yoshimi... and the release of "Seven Nation Army" by the White Stripes

Then one day you find
50 years have got behind you

You missed the starting gun!

I remember waiting months and months for the release of that album. I was slightly disappointed when it came out that it sounded too accessible!

I was into Yes and ELP at the time and hoped for something like a whole album of "Echoes" from the Floyd.

It has certainly has had staying power though and I still love it.
