We have to talk about Steve Allen

If you were to chop his head off it would have LBC going all the way round and all the way down, so what the heck has happened to him? He left work on Friday before last after handing over to Nick Ferrari saying cheerio have a good weekend (I wasn’t listening but that’s what he would have said), and that was the last we ever heard of him. 44 years he’s been there and was planning (I’m pretty sure) on being carried out feet first.
I read somewhere that it was all to do with him mis-gendering Sam Smith, or refusing to correctly gender him/them or something like that, but there has got to be more to it than that hasn’t there? He’s made a career out of being rude about just about everybody why all the fuss now?
Well I’ll miss him, many’s the time he’s kept me company in the early hours of the morning when his particular brand of gossipy wit was just what I needed.
