Poker Face

Not released in the UK yet, but this is a recommendation for a watch when it is.
Written and directed by the writer of Knives Out it is effectively an updated Columbo - you see the crime being committed and then the main protagonist played by Natasha Lyonne (Orange is the new Black, Russian Doll, etc.) solves the crime. As with Columbo there are actors you will recognise making guest appearances in each episode.
The ‘gag’ is that Natasha Lyonne can tell if someone is not telling the truth - hence ‘Poker Face’, but it isn’t overplayed and to be honest isn’t that necessary in the storylines.
It isn’t a series that is going to win any ‘lovey’ awards, just good old fashioned entertainment tv.
