I Daniel Blake

A very fine film one of the best I have seen in ages. I find it hard to raise any criticism it is just faultless It is about Daniel Blake (59) a joiner unemployed for the first time in his life due to a heart attack, retaining dignity and humanity when faced with the uncaring social services. He befriends a single mum Daisy with two children moved from London hostel to Newcastle which she sees as her only escape. It would be comic but for the underlying brutality of the system.
Very uncomfortable to watch as it is human lives being destroyed by the system we created and we tolerate. A 'Cathy come home' for the present day.
