He did have a good late run, I think he was given 1 year to live 10 odd years ago and embarked on a final tour before going treatment/remission.

I know extra time has become fashionable but Wilko got there first!

He had radically surgery which appeared to cure his terminal pancreatic cancer. Releasing an album with Roger Daltrey just before that worked.

He really had the most unique style of playing
- you can see it, know what he's doing and still never quite recreate it. Utterly distinctive huge monster of a sound.

And he chopped off Ned Stark's head.
