Ragnarok on Netflix

Post by stevensfo »

A Norwegian series, so dubbed and with subtitles. The dubbing on some foreign films is terrible, e.g. two women walking down the street in Syria in 'Kaliphat', sounding like they were two Oxford dons.

What I like about Ragnarok is the atmosphere; poor family, exhausted mother struggling to hold down a job and look after her two teenage sons, problems at school etc. Maybe a bit slow for some, but at least it's more realistic than the Marvel films. I also liked the insight into Norwegian society as well as the amazing landscapes.

There are two series, with a third and final series being released soon.

I watched and enjoyed the series. I didn't know there was a third series planned. TBH, it was a long time ago when I watched it - it has been a big gap to series 3.

(edit: I was curious as to when I watched Ragnarok. Netflix tells me it was May 2021 ...seems longer).
