Disney's latest cartoon offering with music and lyrics from the bloke who did the smash hit "Hamilton".
Princess who is independent, sassy, brave and determined - check.
Wisecracking irritating but good-hearted companion - check.
Daft "comedy" animal companion - check.

Disney have adapted a Polynesian creation legend for their story. Technically the animation, particularly seas and waves is stunning. But the story has been told a thousand times before by Disney. There's a bit of humour, but it's not very good (the best bit is in the first 2 minutes of the film). The songs aren't great either. The story takes an age to get going - the first 20 minutes are particularly dull.

It's only 90 minutes, but it felt a lot longer than that. Kids in front of us got bored and were running around.
