I think the point is that she is playing Anna Sorokin rather than a generic "fake German heiress".

It is a great show though and one IMHO best enjoyed with a knowledge of the actual true story.

Yes i knew about her and I think that's why the annoying
"all this is true except for the bits that aren't" in every episode and on the wall at times
is relevant
