Re: Music, Film, and Literature Maps
Hmmm.... banged in Jefferson Airplane, and it seems I am more likely to like Eartha Kitt than The Velver Undergound or The Doors.
At least The Great Society and The Grateful Dead were on the same page.
But, some new names for me to try on Spotify

Spotify itself is pretty good for this if you use their artist or song radio.kiloran wrote:Hmmm.... banged in Jefferson Airplane, and it seems I am more likely to like Eartha Kitt than The Velver Undergound or The Doors.

That's how I discovered "Messur Chups" - who seem to have evaded this map

I'd not heard of Messeur Chups but on listening immediately thought of The Cramps* and then The 5,6,7 8s? Woo Hoo their big thing https://youtu.be/qjE79hAibtc?t=650
*Poison Ivy and Lux https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V00BEZV3jqs?

I probably would have got there from the Cramps "radio"
- saw the 5,6,7,8s as COVID was appearing
Being able to just find this stuff immediately in my pocket is what means I'm sticking with Spotify even though they've not started paying them properly. I wish my subs went direct to "The Tremolo Beer Gut" rather than whatever shiny stuff was topping their charts collectively

No, Spotify can't be any good..... it's never come up with Eartha Kitt on the Airplane song radioservodude wrote:Spotify itself is pretty good for this if you use their artist or song radio.kiloran wrote:Hmmm.... banged in Jefferson Airplane, and it seems I am more likely to like Eartha Kitt than The Velver Undergound or The Doors.
