Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Post by Arborbridge »

DAK?.....

What's happened to Buffy the Vampire Slayer, which was airing on 4Music?

I think they reached season 4 but it stopped without warning a couple of weeks ago. I assume they might have a break and then pick it up later, but I cannot find anything helpful about scheduling.

OTOH, it might have migrated to some other channel and airing in the middle of the night, as it did once before, and I haven't noticed it.

Can anyone help?

I can help but only in a negative sense I'm afraid. My YouView box has a search function that looks at the full EPG (last 7 and next 7 days) and what's available on catchup and on the on-demand players (BBC iPlayer, ITV hub, All 4, My5, UKTV Play) and most of the streaming services (even the ones I'm not subscribed to) and the only place it finds Buffy is on Amazon Prime (144 episodes, buy). Sorry. :(

Disney+ has all seven series for UK subscribers. Currently £80 a year.

I've found similar with OD series, they come and go between platforms so you get to the end of the first series or 2 and the rest is only available on a subscription platform.

Hopefully in this case it will be the Easter resceduling and it will be back later in the year, but don't hold your breath :(

Being a cheapskate, I'd rather not pay. DrFfybes' experience is similar to mine. Buffy was shown last year on one channel (Drama, or possibly the Horror channel) then almost as soon as finished, started showing on 4Music.

I expect if I wait, it will come round again, and in fact I am trying to catch up with the episodes I've already recorded, so there's time.

I was interested to see in today's Times that Zadie Smith in also a Buffy fan. She has watched them four times!
