The Duke

Post by Clitheroekid »

Just an entirely unsolicited recommendation for The Duke, one of the most enjoyable films I’ve seen for years. A bit like a modern reincarnation of an Ealing comedy, and a true delight.

For those who say they don’t make films like that anymore - they do! :D

Just checked - The Prime Video film is a children's film from 1999! ;)

Sorry, but, I feel duked, right royally confused here. CK, what you didn't say is where you saw this? In a Cinema? If not, on what platform? The youtube link is simply a trailer. Not out here in the US until March 25th.

Completely agree, thoroughly enjoyable film and one of the few occasions recently when the cinema was actually full (the following day my wife and I watched Uncharted as the only two people in a 350 seat auditorium).
