Isabelle Huppert successful boss of a video games company is violently raped in the first scene, she decides for reasons that are later explained, not to contact the police. It is very dark thriller an exploration of interlocking sexual and family relationships.. There are good touches of humour, but the ambiguous treatment of the rape itself is hard to justify. Yet it is this that holds the film together. Isabelle Huppert is wonderful as the lead character, the film has the major flaw in its treatment of sexual violence, yet is undeniably an edge of the seat, tense thriller.
