Thanks for the link, I enjoyed that. I used to have one of their albums, I think I'll have to listen to Rock Lobster again...

In the late 90's they used to do corporate Christmas parties. The music was quite captivating in a hypnotic way.

From Wild Planet, their second album and a very good recording. It's probably best known for "Private Idaho," an iconic '80s tune, and also includes "Devil in My Car," which just might be my favorite B-52s song.

I was going to point out their possibly unique vocal aspect, which led to some seriously catchy harmonies. Wiki describes it well:
'Rooted in new wave and 1960s rock and roll, the group later covered many genres, ranging from post-punk to pop rock.[citation needed] The "guy vs. gals" vocals of Schneider, Pierson, and Wilson, sometimes used in call and response style, and their unique guitar and keyboard driven instrumentation, are their trademark sound.'
