A bunch of you will be familiar with Jacob Lund Fisker who wrote the ERE blog back in the day. Well, he recently posted an update on what he's been doing with his life since:

ToD was a great site. Despite 18 years of education no-one had actually ever explained me how the industrial world system truly fits together.
Until ToD put the pieces together in an understandable way.
Likewise ERE: I am currently able to FIRE in large part due to pioneers like Mr Fisker making plain that one can solve the maths problem that one faces if one wishes to be freed from the money problem.
Two massively influential blogs is a sign that he is onto something.
