From one of the comments below the line of John Crace's column yesterday evening in the Grauniad

Back in the 1990s, knowing that they could never hold high office ever again, the Lib Dems, under Paddy Ashdown, launched a deep-cover project with the goal of infiltrating the Conservative party and destroying it from within. Nick Clegg and Liz Truss were the star pupils of that project.

10 Years ago, I exposed that truth in a book I wrote, and I was shot down in flames by this very newspaper. I was accused of wearing a tin-foil hat, of being a David Icke admirer, and of being a Manchester United supporter.

I am vindicated. I want an apology. When Truss was pictured blinking at PMQs the other day, that was not nerves. That was a morse code message to Ed Davey: mission accomplished.

I want an apology from all on this forum who shot my book down in flames. The truth is out now!!!

Brilliant!

Caitlin Moran in The Times this morning describes Truss as the sub-prime minister.

Hats off to the editors at Newsnight and Channel 4 for their music picks and editing of their Truss montages. For those not familiar, they're respectively Rihanna's Take a Bow and Taylor Swift's Blank Space :

Will she have the gall to claim the £115k per year ex-PM allowance though ? Not bad for a month's worth of chaos.

Jonathan Pie nails it again.

"She swoops in, kills the queen, crashes the market, and fcuks off."

"Dog shlt. Fcuking dog shlt"

Very accurate.

Not so sure she did actually kill the queen, but it's a helluva coincidence.

He's only come to my attention the last year or so, as a rantist rather than a satirist. Mainly for his fawning and sycophantic rants of unquestioning admiration for that Boris geezer.

In fact I think he has introduced a whole new genre of humour, that of the rant.

five minute streams of amusingly accurate expostulations about this or that politician - nobody does them better!

Except perhaps Ben Elton...
