I haven't read the article, but, going by the youtube video, surely the front of the house being covered in doodles is a big clue?

It looks like the kind of camouflage trip that car that designers get up to when they're road testing a new model:

But car designers are deliberately setting out to confuse our brains. Why in the name of all that's holy would you want to do that to your own brain?

Camouflage? The driver just drove through the parcels department at Maseratti and a team of students attempted the Guinness World Record for the largest parcel wrapped in packing tape.
