Currently, the thunder is deafening and lightning is illuminating the southern skies. No rain yet, so I've opened the french doors, poured a glass of port, and switched off the lights to enjoy the spectacle.

Some significant rain these last couple of days: it was heavy earlier this evening. I think basically since they declared drought throughout southwest England.
Can't see much until daylight, but the river outside is making more noise than it has done since ... I don't remember when. Though after the prolonged dry season, that's not saying much.
