Money 2005 & 1105 patch

I have been using Money 2005 for many years on a succession of PCs, using the 1105 patch files. I am currently migrating to a new laptop but I have forgotten how to install the 1105 patch files. Please could someone remind me how to add these. Am I correct in thinking that I paste all the 1105 patch files over the Money 2005 programme folder, if I can find it?

It's the update normally required to reopen pre existing money data files (.mny)

But unfortunately I have forgotten how to install it. So any help would be much appreciated

It's not quite clear how, of from where, you've got the 1105 patch files, but I'd have a read of these two detailed sets of instructions that cover off how a vanilla Money 2005 install can be upgraded to version 1105 using the relevant files -

Hopefully one of those sets of instructions will ring some bells as to how you've successfully used your current 1105 patch files in the past...

Thanks, I downloaded a copy of Money 2005 UK from here:

I installed it on Windows 11 and (in case it stopped working due to updates) on a Win 7 VM, for a friend. It seems to work absolutely fine with no need for patches, I just opened the file from the menu and it all seems to work fine, no complaints from my friend.

I am a bit concerned about downloading software from an unknown source - but is this a real risk if I am runniing an anti virus program (Norton 360)?
Unfortunately I still can't remember how to install the 1105 patch correctly - (I tried but it failed)

You just copy and paste the 1105 patch on to the Money file of the Money 2005 program, before then installing the Money 2005 program.

Alternatively you can download the program as ReformedCharacter suggested (might be easier) or follow the advice of Itsallaguess - Thanks to both
