Moderation and [img] tags

Post by MDW1954 »

In the absence of poster Itsallaguess, with whom I regularly corresponded via PM regarding Excel and other software-related matters, I wanted to make a brief announcement.

First, it turns out that by some fluke no moderator was actually tasked with moderating this board. Apologies if that caused anyone any difficulties. As someone who posts here occasionally, I've volunteered myself.

Second, IAAG posted some useful instructions in a recent thread, during which (as I added to them) it became clear that it wasn't possible for posters here to embed images in their posts. Given the sort of thing that this board discusses, that wasn't ideal. So I raised this, and the restriction now no longer exists. (It was more accidental than intentional, anyway.)

When I've time (probably over the weekend), I'll see if I can turn IAAG's instructions into instructions with embedded images.

This would be much appreciated.
The image hosting faff puts a lot of us off posting images.

So, just to be clear: you can now post embedded images -- just wrap the URL with the [img]and[/img] tags.

Previously, that functionality had been disabled on this board.
