TIDM change SLA to ABDN

Post by seagles »

Kiloran for HYPTUSS

Heads up to the change. Checked Yahoo and changed on there, SLA still there but not updated since close of show friday.

Just got around to testing this and I think that you have made an error? Using the following entry:-

https://www.sharecast.com/equity/Abrdn Abrdn ABDN Financial Services ABDN 186960 https://www.abrdn.com/corporate/investo ... nd-results Financial Services

Gets a runtime error when updating the forecast.

/equity/Abrdn Abrdn ABDN Financial Services ABDN 186960 https://www.abrdn.com/corporate/investo ... nd-results Financial Services

Seems to work.

BTW The official company name is Abdn PLC

What? Me... make an error? Surely not, I haven't made any mistakes since Oct 2011 (as my wife keeps reminding me)

Ah, OK, just a teensy weensy one..... like an idiot, I pasted the whole of the Sharecast URL into column A of the data sheet, instead of just the suffix.
So column A should be:
/equity/Abrdn
as you pointed out.

I've corrected it at http://lemonfoolfinancialsoftware.weebl ... op-up.html

Sorry

Yes, but no, but yes...

Their name is abrdn..lowercase.

https://www.abrdn.com/corporate/about-us

(I'd already 'manually' changed the digital look data sheet in my v11.52 version to /equity/abrdn which seems to work..note, all in lowercase abrdn).

Guilty!

( sorry, I mean "glty" in abrdn-speak, in a land where vowels are only allowed at the start of a word).

I don't want to do this manually. I am using version11-71 and it does not show ABDN in the list of available shares. If I download version 11.74 would that work?

No, 11.74 was published before the ABDN change. You need to replace the Company Data Sheet with the new version, or at least add the new row of data

kiloran,

Thanks for doing this - it all worked perfectly for me. abrdn is now up and running.

If I could hijack the thread for a minute, is there an easy way to add a new share into the company data sheet?

The company in question is B&M European Value Retail SA (ticker is BME). It is a FTSE 100 company.

If you could add this, I would be very grateful, but if you cannot, I will have a go using the HYPTUSS user guide!

Adding a row with these details will get BME working with the tool -

I'll copy the text of the fields below so you can copy/paste rather than hand-type, as they're a bit fiddly sometimes with the underscores etc. -

/equity/BM_European_Value_Retail_SA_DI (Col A)
B&M European Value Retail S.A. (Col B)
BME (Col C)
General Retailers (Col D)
BME (Col E)
Retail (Col I)

Would you be so kind as to set out how to do this, step by step? I tried the buttons at the top of the page but got no further.

Thanks

Hi John,

I created a short video showing the data-sheet update process, which will hopefully help out here -

Well, I must say was fun (NOT). I've got HYPTUSS working after the change for ABDDIDBNY - thanks to help on here.

Their stupid name change to something unmemorable hasn't endeared them to me!

Thanks guys.

The new website asked for my company name, so I went for:
rtrd
Probably not a good idea now I've typed it again. Vowels are really useful!
