MNG - M&G demerged from Prudential
Would anybody be able to point me towards how to modify my HYP top-up spreadsheet to include MNG in my portfolio?
Many thanks.
Many thanks.

Make the changes on the "Digital Look Data Sheet" in HYPTUSS - (see below) and then add MNG using the "Add" button in the usual way in the "High Yield Portfolio sheet".
You will need to scroll down the window when adding the new entrant to select MNG if you add it to the bottom of the list.

You have read it haven't you .... it's a fascinating read, worthy of the Booker Prize

I was about to update the Company Data Sheet at http://lemonfoolfinancialsoftware.weebl ... op-up.html but I found that Sharecast appears to have no data for MNG so the URL Suffix /equity/MNG in column A of your link does not work (and the structure looks wrong.... it is more normally a variation of the company name rather than the stock symbol)monabri wrote:Hi DavidDavidsb wrote:Would anybody be able to point me towards how to modify my HYP top-up spreadsheet to include MNG in my portfolio?

Re: MNG - M&G demerged from Prudential
MNG will work fine for prices from Yahoo, but did you get any forecast yield data from Sharecast? That is what the URL Suffix in Column A controls.

Ok, I'll admit I use HYPTUSS to scrape share price only....I didn't press the f'cast yield button.

Ah, that clarifies things, monabri.monabri wrote:Ok, I'll admit I use HYPTUSS to scrape share price only....I didn't press the f'cast yield button.
Using HYPTUSS to only get prices from Yahoo is a very large sledgehammer to crack a small nut. Have you considered the Simple Yahoo Price Scrape at: http://lemonfoolfinancialsoftware.weebl ... crape.html

Another reason why I run HYPTUSS and a separate Excel file is that I can cross check changes made (eg shares bought/sold).
I calculate the portfolio value shown in Excel and subtract it from the HYPTUSS total ...if the product is not zero I know to recheck the changes.

Personally, I felt the Nobel Prize for Literature was more appropriate, but what do I know.....
Thank you both for your help - I guess I'll just have to wait for Sharecast to get their act together....

I badgered Sharecast a couple times by email but never got a reply or acknowledgement.kiloran wrote:I was about to update the Company Data Sheet at http://lemonfoolfinancialsoftware.weebl ... op-up.html but I found that Sharecast appears to have no data for MNG so the URL Suffix /equity/MNG in column A of your link does not work (and the structure looks wrong.... it is more normally a variation of the company name rather than the stock symbol)monabri wrote: Hi David

But.... at last! Sharecast finally added MNG to their website over the past few days https://www.sharecast.com/equity/MG-855633 though it does not show in their list for the FTSE100.
Forecast Yield shows n/a but I guess it will update at some point.
I've updated the file "company data sheet.txt" at http://lemonfoolfinancialsoftware.weebl ... op-up.html
