Problem with excel and top up spreadsheet

Good morning

After working normally when I now open the HYP top up spreadsheet it opens in design mode and I cannot change it by toggling the design mode button on the developer ribbon ( it stays in design mode after being clicked) meaning I cannot click the buttons.

I have a related spreadsheet that logs my buys and the data from this is imported on opening into the spreadsheet and works fine.

My main machine is a windows VM on a MAC, but I have tried opening the spreadsheet on a windows machine and the same happens.

I have also downloaded a new copy of the spreadsheet from the web site and that opens also in design mode.

I am now stuck. What Am I doing wrong ?

Should have said I had already googled that solution and have tried even setting the macro level to low and it has no effect

If that works, it suggests the problem is related to HYPTUSS, if it fails it suggests a problem with your Excel installation

I had considered it was a problem with the installation within the VM which was why I tried it on a bare metal windows installation and it had the same problem (even after changing the macro setting).

The bare metal windows version is Excel 2013 and the VM is using excel 365 windows version.

Will try downloading and report vbakc again

When you tried it on your pukka Windows machine, did you use your modified HYPTUSS or a freshly-downloaded version?

ok

downloaded the scrape on the windows macghne --Worked
downloaded new copy of HYPTUSS to windows machine and imported the raw data -- worked
Saved copy of that sheet and then used it on the windows VM on MAC - worked.

Will now make a further copy of the SS and try to add my customisation to see if it works ( will report back but not for some time as I am goingg away for a few days)
