Yes, remind me when they put it up to 5% following the IT debacle and said it wasn't a short term sop. Then reduced to 3%, then 1.5% and now zero.

Funnily enough I suffered the other week from another IT issue and Customer Services were clueless and suggested I just keep trying and see whether it resolved itself. A second call later in the day informed me they would put a request in to see when it would be sorted, never heard anymore.

Eventually it resolved and I withdrew all money from all accounts.

The accounts are still open because to close them I have to verify my details to an outsourced operation and send passport and utility bills etc. I can understand when opening an account, not when closing one.

Next time I pass a TSB branch, nearest is 15 miles away, I'll pop-in and try to close them over the counter.

Yep, just got mine too. After that IT shambles a couple of years ago they've got a nerve.

Mind you they'll probably want to close all my accounts anyway once I declare that I'm living predominently overseas due to Brexit, given the government hasn't bothered to fix passporting services. I could switch to my HSBC account (the world's local bank!!) but they'll be going bust at the current rate of decline.
Why do we have banks again?
